Maison de Sport® / The Maison
Heritage & Craftsmanship
The object, considered
From silhouette to construction.
Maison de Sport begins with the relationship between form and use. A shoe is considered in profile; a shirt through its collar, seams and the way it falls.
Footwear is an important part of Camille Tanoh’s design history. The Proper Sneaker, The Saturday Afternoon Man Shoe and The Monday Morning Man Shoe are documented in Archive Collection.

The line and the surface
A closer language.
Material gives a silhouette its character. The curve of a collar and the meeting of a seam bring the design into focus.
The same attention moves from a shirt to a shoe. Each detail belongs to a larger silhouette.

Archive Collection brings together original footwear projects and films, tracing a design perspective that continues through the Maison today.
Construction
Proportion is developed through the details: how a collar is shaped, how a seam meets and how the silhouette is held.
