The Proper Label® is Maison de Sport: founded by French designer Camille Tanoh and based in New York. A Maison at the meeting of couture, tailoring, sport and culture.
Luxury takes its shape in the wardrobe: a precise collar, the fall of a trouser, the balance of a shoe. Pieces with presence, and room for the life around them.
01 / Origins
A wardrobe begins
with a point of view.
Camille Tanoh is a French designer of Ivorian descent, based in New York. His work brings a French sensibility for dressing into conversation with the pace of American life and the collective culture of sport.
The earliest footwear chapters remain a starting point: objects named for moments in a life, made to move between occasions. Maison de Sport carries that idea into a complete wardrobe.

Within the atelier, a design is considered through material, pattern, proportion and finish. Sampling gives an idea its shape; fitting tests how that shape lives on the body.
The conversation continues with specialist partners: construction, material choices, provenance and care are part of the same design process.
