On the rail, a named tag makes the work specific. The card in this photograph identifies Christian Benteke and the number 20. Before the suits are seen at the scale of a team, that small detail returns the work to an individual wearer.
Clothing made around a club has to move between those two scales. A group can share a visual language, while each person brings different proportions, habits and ways of standing. The handwritten tag is a quiet record of that relationship.

The archive includes these details alongside the House's wider work with D.C. United. In the club's 2025 Archive Kit presentation, custom suits by Camille Tanoh and The Proper Label formed part of the campaign styling. The football kit itself was an adidas and MLS release.
This story stays close to the tailoring. A named tag, a seam and the inside of a jacket are parts of the finished object that a distant campaign photograph may not reveal. They make the work personal, and they deserve their own place in the record.
