D.C. United won the inaugural MLS Cup in 1996, retained the title in 1997 and lifted it again in 1999: three championships in the league’s first four seasons. The Black-and-Red helped establish the standard for football in the United States.
The District Collection 2026 begins with that inheritance and the people who continue to carry it. Loyalty, local pride and a place for every supporter give this chapter its meaning.

Maison de Sport, expressed through eight chapters for D.C. United. Each explores a different way of belonging — to a club, to a city, to one another. From the stadium to the streets, The District Collection 2026 carries the Black-and-Red into everyday life.
Made for Club is The Proper Label’s collection program for sporting institutions. Club identity becomes a wardrobe, a visual language and a shared experience.
D.C. United is our starting point: an original MLS club with a lasting place in the city’s sporting life. We are drawn to the connection between its history, its supporters and Washington itself. Eight chapters carry that shared identity from the stands into the everyday wardrobe.
