At the centre, a football shirt is held up for the camera. Around it, the other garments remain in use. A sleeve bends at the elbow; a scarf falls across a lap. The clothes take on a different presence when they leave the rail and enter a room full of people.
This is an essential part of a studio's life. A piece can be described through its materials and measurements, but the way someone wears it introduces another set of observations. The photograph makes those differences visible without needing to arrange everyone into the same uniform.
