At the D.C. United Club Shop

The collection leaves the studio rail and enters the place where supporters choose.

In these photographs, the work is in the hands of the shop. A white T-shirt and a dark hoodie hang beside one another while the display is adjusted. The crest on the back of a leather jacket faces the camera, repeating an emblem already present across the rail.

The setting changes how a collection is encountered. A visitor can compare the pale and dark pieces, lift a hanger, turn a garment around and see the scale of the lettering. Details that were studied separately in the studio become part of a straightforward choice.

The Proper Label's connection with the D.C. United Club Shop also extends to footwear, as part of the House's work with the club. The photographs here document the clothing display; current shoe styles and sizes should be checked directly with the Club Shop.

For visitors, that is the useful next step: ask about the present selection before making a special trip for a particular piece. The Journal records the life of the collection in the shop, while the shop team can confirm what is available to try on now.
